A group of far-right anti-Islam protesters attempting to flex their power on the streets of Hamilton were met with sharp counter-resistance and a massive police presence on Sunday. The failed “Patriot Walk on Lock” was largely derailed thanks to a 1,200-word anti-racist blog post that looks straight out of 2009.
The pushback was so intense that the “patriots” attempted to reschedule their event but in haste forgot to tell the people attending—leaving lots of their supporters high and dry.

White Evangelical Christians opposed desegregation tooth and nail. Where pressed, they made cheap, cosmetic compromises, like Billy Graham’s concession to allow black worshipers at his crusades. Graham never made any difficult statements on race, never appeared on stage with his “black friend” Martin Luther King after 1957, and he never marched with King. When King delivered his “I Have a Dream Speech,” Graham responded with this passive-aggressive gem of Southern theology, “Only when Christ comes again will the little white children of Alabama walk hand in hand with little black children.” For white Southern evangelicals, justice and compassion belong only to the dead.

The alt-right is falling apart. Richard Spencer says it’s not “fun” anymore and is considering suspending his speaking tours amidst low turn out numbers.
One of their leaders, Matthew Heimbach (communismkill’s ex-boyfriend), was engaged in an affair with another leader’s mother in-law which led to major infighting.
Their forums are getting shut down thanks to leaks obtained by antifa groups. As well as planned events being pulled out because they’ve been consistently opposed and usually outnumbered by antifa counter-protesters.
Doxing racists work. They’re terrified of going to events and several of them are being charged with hate crimes and even attempted murder.
Antifa needs a lot more credit for fragmenting a group that at it’s peak in Charlottesville was engaging in a race war. We can’t keep moralising the point of Antifa but instead we should look at the bigger picture, which is that the resurgence of public antisemitics, race science and xenophobia should be met with an equal amount of retaliation
