100% certain han and lando once got married for a scam and forgot to have it annulled so they were technically married for several years and one day lando comes in and goes “real quick: are we solo-calrissian or calrissian-solo? also, i want a divorce” and han is like baby no where did i go wrong we can still fix this
@unpretty‘s tags are legit, as always.
#ostensibly it was for a scam but we all know the truth#they forget to get divorced until han is getting married again#do you think polyamorous marriage is legal in star wars#it has to be right#so han is accidentally married to like three people#and leia is kind of annoyed by this so he goes to lando#who doesn’t understand the problem because legally speaking he is married to a city-state#he solves a lot of problems by marrying them#he also creates a lot of problems but those are for future lando#not current lando who is currently explaining that he has built a complex tax scheme on his marriages#and his marriage to han is loadbearing#do you have any idea what this would do to his tax deductions han#it would destroy them#han hasn’t paid space taxes in years but it turns out he’s lando’s dependent and lando has actually been collecting a refund this whole time#han is offended and wants his refunds but lando is like no fuck you#if you did your own space taxes you’d be paying twice what i’m getting

Luke’s Destiny

✩ star wars gif meme ✩ [7/8] quotes:
“Anakin was still alive in Obi-Wan’s mind. Obi-Wan was engaged with him so
intensely that he expected his apprentice to walk over one of those shifting
sand dunes and grin at him again. Or scowl. He’d take anything. Any mood, any defiance. Just to see him again.”

The Last One Standing.
I firmly believe that the 2003 clone wars series was cancelled because the production team understood the force better than Lucas ever did.
are you with me?
all the way.
IMO, the single most important line for Cassian’s characterization is
Everything I did, I did for the rebellion. And every time I walked away from something I wanted to forget I told myself it was for a cause I believed in. A cause that was worth it.
The second most important isn’t his at all, but Chirrut’s:
There is more than one sort of prison, captain. I sense that you carry yours wherever you go.
I do find the second particularly interesting, because Cassian looks more shocked than surprised. That is, it doesn’t seem like an epiphany for him. It’s not what Chirrut reveals about his psyche that weirds him out; it’s that Chirrut is revealing things about his psyche at all.
I’ve jokingly called Cassian a psychological disaster area, which he is (:P). But it’s possible that Cassian himself is entirely aware of it.
#i’m also sort of interested by the fact that#i mean – this is one of the first things chirrut says to him#and it’s certainly sympathetic#but overall chirrut seems the most neutral on cassian#jyn must have trusted him to be so horribly betrayed; bodhi is grateful; baze thinks he looks friendly#but chirrut is just… okay on a scale of 1-10 how murdery does he look? asking for a friend#and while he’s judgy after eadu (like everyone; i think that feeds the fandom tension) he’s never at all hostile to him#he just quietly recognizes that cassian is something trapped and dangerous
