Amazon just recced me a show called Hidden Killers of the Edwardian and Victorian Home and I’m a little creeped out by how well it knows me.

I’m like 10 minutes in and have learned more about early household electricity than I probably wanted to know but seriously anyone writing 19th and early 20th century mystery fics needs to watch this show because I can tell it has a wealth of period specific ways to cover up a murder.

Also anyone who knows even a little bit about the history of consumer and worker safety especially in the industrial revolution and is still anti regulation 100% cares more about profits than people.

I saw this magazine in a grocery store and I immediately started freaking out. I have no idea what the article is about, because I was leaving checkout and had to rush out of there, but just knowing that asexuals are spotlighted in one that’s carried in stores makes me very happy.

You can read the article here

There are asexuals who find themselves attracted to television characters as they get to know them over the course of a season, but feel no stirring in their loins for the actors who play those characters.

That explains so much

If you don’t understand asexuality please read this. It’s so great and you get to see what an asexual is thinking in the midst of it all

use the right knives when you cook please

i’m not kidding and i’m not being mean i’m watching these videos of people trying to cut like, carrots, and they’re using butcher knives, and i just… I cook a lot and I don’t own a butcher knife, I’ve never had one, I’ve never needed one. I don’t cleave through… bone like. please

like listen, this set is $18.99 with the coupon it has available right now. unless you do a lot of cooking in which case you’re not the target audience of this post you don’t need more knives than this like… please

from left to right:

  • paring knife: it’s good for small cuts. deseeding a jalapeno, cutting up strawberries.
  • utility knife: allegedly these make cutting tomatoes easier. i don’t actually find cutting tomatoes difficult, so i don’t know. i use it mostly for trimming meat.
  • santoku knife: this is essentially a chef’s knife with a straight blade. it’s good for veggies.
  • chef’s knife: i use a chef’s knife for almost everything. it can chop a head of romaine and it can cut a chicken breast in half. whatever. just don’t use it for tiny shit.
  • slicing knife: good for slicing cooked meats
  • bread knife: bread

it’s also gay.

and here’s a cutting board with a knife sharpener. keeping your knives sharp is a good idea because cuts from dull knives are harder to treat, are more likely to get infected, and are more painful over time. cuts happen but you can reduce your risks

Who wants to get me some knives?

Gay knives save lives

we really getting sponsored posts for knives now huh

The dictatorship if the Gamertariat

also get dead cells because despite the collection of terms used to describe it it’s actually the one example of them that pulls it off well + it’s going to be fully released as 1.0 on like august 7th or some shit, not that it matters. it’s already a fairly complete game and will have free updates + dlc in the future.

yeah it’s incredible buy it
