i love the whole “we’re assholes and terrible people” attitude that the mighty nein (esp Caleb and Beau) have bc its always like

“we’re a bunch of terrible people” *wrapping their tiny adopted bird child in a warm cloak*

“we’re all awful, just the worst” *molly giving away gold like it’s candy to basically anyone who’s remotely nice*

“we’re a bunch of selfish assholes who are only doing this for the money” *agree to help callie, a random stranger, even after she explicitly states she doesn’t have very much coin*

invoked-duplicity:

I loved the Team Human hug as much as the next person, but aside from the fact that it was peak comedy with Yasha and Fjord as social-interaction-coaches and Caleb awkwardly patting Beau in the face, as well as being a sweet beginning of a friendship, it made me so sad to see that both of them are so painfully not used to touching people in this way. Caleb spent many years in that asylum, which explains it – that poor man has probably been touch starved for who knows how long. But Beau was living with her family as far as we know. She had people she hung out with. And both of them needed guidance to hug another person. I love them both so much and want to cry a river regarding the fact that they have to learn to touch people affectionately.

sandssavvy:

Caleb and Beauregard make up after episode 21.

Caleb looking to Yasha for friend advice (while Beau looks to Fjord). Poor guy has no clue how to socialize anymore. Looking to their friendship coaches for advice.
Sam got to feel Laura’s baby kick! She brings his attention to it around 1:08 .

In other news, I love these damaged Empire kids and their growing friendship.
