Now, the term “criminally small” gets thrown around a lot on this blog. But I ask you… are you ready to behold true tininess?

This baby Mozambique rain frog [Breviceps mossambicus] was found and phtoographed near the Vis-Agier resort in Sodwana Bay, South Africa. These frogs require no water source to reproduce, instead laying eggs underground which then hatch by direct development into tiny frogs like the one you see above. These frogs inhabit a wide range of central and southern Africa, and are most commonly found after brief periods of rain. Images by Vis-Agie Resort on Facebook.

oh my god that’s so illegal

they can’t be arrested for their tininess crimes

there are no cuffs that bitty

Pup interrupts soccer match, gives interview.

The commentator narrating the pup’s moves with the ball is AMAZING and I’m crying

“(…) right, but he decides to kick the ball. He gets close, and who grabs it? The Friend(dog)! Yes! A pup got into the field. He’s tied to it. He puts it under his paws and shows what football was missing in the Gasometro (field’s name). The [team]’s men want to grab him, but they cant! The Friend has his eyes on the ball. He runs to find it again. Yes! He bites! He kneads! He wants it close! He gets lost, he’s so happy! Castro (player) wants to kick his Corner but he can’t. He tells the pup “enough, enough, go over there”… however *commentator laughs*, there’s the pup! When he puts it on the floor, [the dog] goes again for the ball. And of course, as any skilled man, wants it all for himself. A bit of an over-eater, this pup. And he clearly has shown conditions / talent. [The team] found the way to the goal thanks to the Pichicho’s (little dog) essential input…. who, of course, as any protagonist had his place at [the tv show].“

*camera switches to interview where dog barks and mounches on the reporter’s mic (who allows him do it)*

I’ve been watching Argentinean football all my life and I can confirm this is the best to ever happen on a match.

Do you have any “love letters to humanity”? I need some positive human anecdotes in my life <3

My law school is in downtown Chicago, and the other day I was headed in to the library to finish up a paper. I pass a daycare every day, it’s normal to see the building, but the weather was so beautiful that the teachers had brought the kidlets outside and lined them up for a walk.

They were all Very Tiny (the oldest couldn’t have been more than four) and holding onto one of those child leads with the handles. I was completely prepared to just walk past them—the teachers were counting them off and making sure everybody had their buddy, they were clearly busy. But one of the teachers spotted me, and without missing a beat said cheerfully, “Say good morning to the nice lady!”

I have never ever been so completely and unexpectedly charmed as when a bunch of tiny children grinned, waved, and chimed in with variations of “good morning.” One of them clearly shrieked “GREEN!” probably because I was wearing a bright green t-shirt.

When I finally got to the library and sat down at the table my friend had staked out, she took one look at me and asked why I was still smiling.
