One of my favorite categories of taz headcanon is “random stuff lucretia forgot to erase”
The classic “elves in Faerun don’t echolocate”
The one where Magnus jumps up behind Davenport as part of rogue training and Davenport yells “Magnus, stop doing that!!!” 100% reflexively
A fic I read one time where Taako and Magnus got into some lengthy debate about Fantasy Iron Chef or Fantasy Survivor or something while a local with no concept of television listened in like “How?? Were you watching these people??? Guys??”
Magnus stripping naked in front of Lucretia doesn’t twig as weird to anyone in the room
Davenport can’t hold a conversation, but he can and will destroy you at any strategy game you put in front of him
Addendum: sometimes he and Merle play some sort of elaborately house ruled poker with a tarot deck and no one else can figure out what’s going on but they don’t seem to be improvising and they never actually discussed the house rules before implementing them?
Magnus punches a plate of cookies out of Avi’s hands because those have hazelnuts in them and don’t you know the Director is allergic?? (He didn’t know. Nobody knew. Merle and Taako knew)
Merle starts up some drinking song that nobody on this entire moon has ever heard before but Magnus jumps right in. Taako rolls his eyes but joins in on the chorus. The Director can correctly identify it within two lines.
Lydia and Edward actually have no freaking clue what Dupree is (malformed dragon?) but Merle and Magnus are just “ah yes. A t-rex”
Barry Bluejeans is a fighter but that one mission involving a necromancer he recognized the ritual immediately and made fun of the guy for using an inefficient circle.
List of sins that God will damn you for in the Hebrew Bible
none
literally none
damnation is not a concept in the Hebrew Scriptures
»Judaism has no word for sin. […] Judaism has the concept of חטאchet. Although it is sometimes conveniently but incorrectly translated as sin, chet means to ›miss the mark‹ – to be heading for the ›bull’s-eye‹ of moral and ethical behavior but to veer off course, to make a mistake. The Jewish ›bull’s-eye‹ is the proper observance of the mitzvot – the ethical and ritual commands of God. So chet means to ›transgress the mitzvot‹ , to fail to correctly or completely fulfill God’s precepts and commandments. The Hebrew word for repentance is תשובהt’shuvah, which means ›to return‹ – to come back to the path leading to the ›bull’s-eye‹ of following God’s commands.«

http://www.aish.com/h/hh/gar/atonement/48954551.html? “This is the idea of teshuva. Teshuva literally means “return.” When we “do teshuva,” we examine our ways, identify those areas where we are losing ground, and “return” to our own previous state of spiritual purity. And in the process, we “return” to our connection with the Almighty as well.
The process of teshuva involves the following four steps:
Step 1 – Regret. Realize the extent of the damage and feel sincere regret.
Step 2 – Cessation. Immediately stop the harmful action.
Step 3 – Confession. Articulate the mistake and ask for forgiveness.
Step 4 – Resolution. Make a firm commitment not to repeat it in the future.“
“How should we feel upon recognizing a mistake? Should we feel guilty, worthless and bad? No! “Guilt” is the negative emotion saying that “I am bad.” Whereas “regret” is the positive acknowledgement that while my essence remains pure, I have failed to live up to my potential.“
oh hey so due to Unforseen Circumstances aka DnD being DnD, half of our party is currently trapped in the Astral Plane! So instead of doing sessions with half our people absent, our DM had us roll up some temporary characters to help out these brave souls who yeeted themselves into a black hole to save a dog
