Anyway Singing In The Rain is gay and poly as hell and I have the #receipts

Featured: Cosmo Brown Platonically Totally Not Proposing To His Best Friend

Don: “Im sad about that girl I saw the other night :((”

Cosmo: time for me to expend an unprecedented amount of energy to get him to smile!!

image

these two goobers have been looking all over town to find Kathy but I’m still emotional about how overjoyed they are to finally see her again. They’ve barely met her but they already love her a lot!!!!

Kathy and Don are about to go off and be het – I dont need to argue that the two of them are in love – but for now look at these three MUGS.

HERE IT COMES!! the most important moment in poly heaven!!!

THE REST UNDER A CUT BECAUSE IM NOT THAT MEAN

Oh hey you three! What are you up to? Just eating ham and cheese sandwiches and drinking milk?

image

(quick aside where Cosmo and kathy are already close enough to eachother that they have whole conversations about cheering Don up without saying a word)

image

Wait a second, Cosmo, what did you just say?

image

Its….. 1:30 in the morning?? You guys have been chilling out at Don’s house just…. chatting…. getting a post-midnight snack…. until one in the morning?? what a perfect time to SING A SONG ABOUT HOW IN LOVE YOU ALL ARE

image

Looking at this makes me so tired.

Every year, multiple times a year, they convince ppl to fork out thousands of dollars and….literally nothing changes. There’s no doubt in my mind they’re pocketing most of this money lol

Yep

They just emailed me about this today and I’m ???? Where is the 100k+ going every time they do this? There’s been one major update that fanfiction has had for at least five years and they don’t demand money like that

You people realize that, like, server space and shit costs money, right? You realize that they need money to pay graphic designers and coders and such BEFORE you get to see those updates on the website, right? You realize that ffnet runs ads on their site and that’s how they’re earning revenue while AO3 is completely ad-free, right? Lord help me I know very little about finances or how to run a website but Wikipedia does the exact same thing but they have a far more massive user base to pull from. Do you like AO3? Would you rather go back to only having ffnet? No? Then maybe don’t baselessly accuse them of scamming people. You don’t have to donate to them if you don’t want to, they’re not holding your account hostage if you don’t.

Hell I just witnessed a murder

Ron: (Standing beside a coffin) we are here today to lay to rest this Long Dead Academic

(Muffled screaming from inside the coffin)

Mourner: I think this man is still alive

Ron: THAT’S JUST AIR ESCAPING

This is actually really cool and I just read the interview she did for the New York Times. I think anyone interested could give good a read: https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/11/02/magazine/the-first-woman-to-translate-the-odyssey-into-english.html

I will be very interested in reading the translation she did of it! ❤

Same! An untainted version perhaps

INDEED

Can we make RPG money more interesting?

I made a stab at asking how we can use some of the ideas in David Graeber’s book Debt: the first 5000 years to deal with trade and obligation in RPGs in more interesting ways than you usually get in D&D.

I feel like I’m only barely scratching the surface of the possibilities here, but that’s what makes it so interesting!

oh this is REALLY inspiring, wow!

We need to talk about Sandra Oh.

I’m aware this isn’t a competition of public attention between the two stars of Killing Eve, but we’re also aware that Eve, and the actress who plays her, Sandra Oh, are not receiving the merits, attention and respect they deserve.

Villanelle is amazing, as well as Jodie, and we know a different character like her is easily sold to the public.

C’mon guys. Who would you feel more attracted to? The beautiful, young, blonde girl who wears gorgeous clothes, lives a luxury life, and in her free time commits a few crimes in Europe or the simple and common middle aged woman who has a boring job and a marriage that, even though there’s love, is as boring as her job?

But, the Eve Polastri that Sandra Oh has gifted us, is as amazing as Villanelle. At the same time you look at Eve and say “God, she is so relatable”, you can say “God, she is so fucked up”. And we can say that because of Sandra’s delivery and incredible grace with which she has while playing this character.

Eve is a wonderful and smart woman who even without any training or instructions, could accomplish the solution to a case that not even the well-trained agents could.

Eve, using purely her intuition, intelligence, perception and a bit of obsession for female assassins, has acquired a respect in an area dominated by men. Because a woman like her, dears, deserves nothing less than that. Sandra Oh deserves nothing less than respect.
