I really like reasonable, intelligent, smart people and that`s why I don`t draw Lift! 🙂
Eshonai and the parshendi are something else.

I had some hard, but enjoyable time, figuring out the parshendi carapace. I took some inspiration from the “red snow crab”.

The other question was more complicated. Should the armor look different on the different individuals? The obvious answer is yes, nothing in nature is exactly the same. But parshendi forms are not exactly natural formations that can be modeled by time in a different way. So I believe parshendi forms are like armor with exactly the same pattern, derived from the same spren. You equip it like normal gear when you need it. Sure they will vary in size, but the shapes and patterns on them I think must be exactly the same. Also I`m not a fan of the crude carapace, we see on most drawing out there. Even the VR game that came out recently had a lot better concept art, than the final product that was releaced, but that`s another thing. I believe it`s natural to be strong and still look good. Like the crab 🙂

With all that said, I could be very wrong of course, only mr.Sanderson can tell 🙂
