Is My Hero Academia really worth watching? What do you have to be a fan of to also like this; as in what’s a similar thing people like that’s popular that correlates to this?

Yes!! I love it!! I think it’s a refreshingly simple story with characters that are easy to understand and fairly straightforward, but they’re all so vibrant and diverse that it doesnt really bother you that they’re painting in broad strokes. you have

Fearsome Gravity Daughter

anxious icy-and-spicy boy

frog daughter

beautiful spiky sunshine shark boy

and many more, but i think the selling point for a lot of people (me included) is the protaganist, Deku. who is a total fanboy, cries every episode, and has a heart of gold despite being totally disadvantaged in the story. he just does does best and im so proud of him every Single day

These are just like 4 of the 20 kids in Class 1-A, so you also have class 1-B, all their parents, all the teachers and pro heroes in the world, so you can see how it gets really interesting seeing all their different powers and personalities

Look heres scarecrow dad

sleeping bag homeroom teacher dad

also the production value is really good esp for shounen! Filler is at a minimum so it moves along really fast for an anime. And when they want to kick the animation in to high gear, They Don’t Pull Any Punches. If you like action series, esp shounen (like Naruto or One Piece) then it’s a shoe-in. The action and Good Kiddos just takes me back to ATLA days. Personally I’d hardly watched any anime before I started this one so I think it’s really accessible (it’s essentially a Japanese take on a story inspired by American comic books so it takes a lot of cues from there)

Theres obviously downsides to it as well but i think it’s still worth the watch for sure. Season 3 just started back again yesterday so it’s the perfect time to hop on the train!
